There are many passages in the Bible that we become familiar with, but often times this familiarity leads to neglect. Perhaps it is because we feel we have learned as much as we can from these passages. Or maybe they are so monumental that we are intimidated by the thought of trying to grasp all the they contain. You are invited to join us on Sunday Mornings as we take a look at "The Classics"
God
Beyond ourselves there is something or someone that has intimately woven this world together. That someone we would call, "God" and we believe that he is creator and ruler over all things
Man
Not only did God create the world but he also created each and every human being on this earth. We were created in the God's image which gives us certain characteristics like intellect, emotion, and will.
The first man, Adam, condemned us all into sin through his trepass. Through him all of creation was lost under the curse of sin. Under sin we are unable to save ourselves and we are doomed to die and be eternally seperated from the God that created us.
Christ
Because of the love that God has for his creation he sent his son to live a life that we couldn't live and die a death we couldn't die. Christ offers his life and death as a just requirment of the law and redeems man out of sin.
Response
In response to God's love for mankind man's responsibility is to believe in the Finished work of Christ.
